Just this weekend, I hosted my first event for the new year. As a part of the final planning stages, I reached out to my guests to see how they could get the most out of their attendance. Any products to promote? In the market for a new job? Want to expand your network? While all of the responses were rather conventional, one in particular made me stop and think. One friend explained to me that she is currently doing social media work for a company that shall remain nameless. Her request was: can you tell everyone that’s coming to ‘like’ our Facebook page?

Just about this time last year I made the switch to Android, after having been a loyal Blackberry user for many years. Within a few weeks of having the phone, I was hooked and happy to spread the word to anyone and everyone I talked to, including my father. Now my father, while he’s big on quality, has always just wanted a phone that let’s him accomplish the basics: making phone calls and checking email.
